Lancaster, PA- On Monday night, the Chargers (6-14) lost at home to Penn State Altoona 55-40. The 15 point defeat shows improvement for the Chargers, when the two squads met earlier in the season the Lions came out on top 78-42.

Rookie, Cindy Blough (Friedens, PA) led all scorers with a personal best 16 points. Classmates, Christine Maher (Westminster, MD) and Nicole Karschner (Galeton, PA) tied with a game high 11 rebounds each. Kelli Steiner led the visitors with 15 points for the Lions.

Lancaster fell behind early, trailing by as many as 13 in the first half. The Chargers quickly answered with a 13 unanswered points of their own to tie the game at 18. Penn State Altoona closed the half well, up 25-20 at the break. The Lions lead never fell below four in the second half, holding off the Chargers 55-40.

The Chargers return to action Wednesday at home against Penn State Brandywine at 7:00 PM.
