Lancaster, PA- The Chargers fell last night to Penn State Brandywine 81-60. The Chargers were constantly playing from behind and the right combination could not be found on Wednesday night in the Horst Athletic Center.
Despite falling behind early, the Chargers were able to rally to tie the score entering halftime 37 all. The second half would be entirely different as the Lions would pull away early in the second half and cruise to a win. Lancaster's 36-31 advantage in total rebounds wasn't enough to overcome the Lion's shooting connecting on almost 60% of their shots from behind the arc.
Sophomore guard, Lacy McClaine (New Bethlehem, PA) dropped a season high 21 points to lead the Chargers. Classmate, Nicole Karschner (Galeton, PA) filled the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals, in the loss. Ashley Redding and Deanna Gineitis led the Lions with 16 points a piece.
The Chargers return to action on Friday when they host Davis College. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 PM.
