Chargers Stun Mounties

Cresson, PA- For the second straight game the Chargers found themselves trailing with under a minute left to play. This time the Chargers found a way to win fighting back from a 16 point deficit, for a stunning 92-90 come from behind victory over Mt. Aloysius College. On the road, the Chargers shot an incredible 69% from the field in the second half and a season high 61.3% for the game.

Continuing recent trends, Lancaster fell behind in the first half just to come back late in the half to tie it up at 42 all, entering the break. The second half was one full of momentum shifts and scoring runs.

Momentum appeared to shift in the Charger's favor taking a nine point lead, 55-46, just three minutes into the second stanza. The Mounties answered, outscoring the Chargers 34-9 over the next ten minutes taking their largest lead of the game 80-64.

The final 7:17 belonged to Kevin Keltner (Menomonee Falls, WI) and the Chargers outscoring Mt Aloysius 30-10 down the stretch. Kevin Keltner's “and-one” lay-up tied the game 88-88, and capped Lancaster's 28-8 run. With 15 ticks, Billy Harrison's (Douglassville, PA) steal and breakaway lay-up put the Chargers up 90-88. After the Mounties' Daniel Conway hit a jumper to tie the game with seven seconds left, Kevin Keltner dribbled the length of the court and knocked down the game winner. Mt. Aloysius's last second try came up empty, and the Chargers came away with the 92-90 victory.

Kevin Keltner led the comeback scoring ten of his game 27 points in the final six minutes as well as dishing out eight assists. In his second game back from injury, Carl Edwards (Baltimore, MD) made his presence felt inside going a perfect 8-8 from the field for 19 points. Billy Harrison (Douglassville, PA) and Eric Nulf (Fayetteville, NC) rounded out the Chargers in double figures with 18 and 14 respectively. Daniel Conway dropped 25 for the Mounties in the loss.
