Chargers Fall to Mounties

Cresson, PA- The Charger's 23 points off the bench were not enough to overcome the Mounties of Mt. Aloysius College, Monday night. For the second time this season Lancaster fell to the Mounties, this time 75-52.

The Chargers kept it close for a good part of the first half trailing by five, 22-17. The Mounties outscored Lancaster 17-1 over the next seven and a half minutes taking a 39-18 lead into the break. The second half continued with the same, as Lancaster couldn't find an answer for Mount Aloysius's rebounding and inside presence, getting out-boarded 41-28 for the game.

Rookie reserve, Brittany Becker (Sykesville, MD) sported a personal best, ten points, to lead the Chargers in the loss. Junior, Kelly Long (Egg Harbor, NJ) chipped in with nine points and Nicole Karschner (Galeton, PA) had a team high nine rebounds. Carlie Frick and Emily McKenna finished with 15 a piece, for the Mounties.

Next up, the Chargers have a rematch with Valley Forge Christian College at home on Friday.  Tip-off is at 6:00 PM.
