Harrisonburg, VA - The Chargers had a tough go of it Wednesday night, losing to #12 Eastern Mennonite University in three sets (24-30, 17-30, 27-30). The Chargers are now 5-6 in their last eleven matches since starting off the season at 1-7.
The Chargers struggled with the big block of the Royals all night, breaking even with 28 kills against 28 errors. After losing the first two sets, Lancaster finally made EMU work for game point falling 27-30.
Jason Glerum (York, PA) led the Chargers with 10 kills on 28 attempts. Ben Bewley (Lancaster, PA) and Jake Harbold (Chaing Mai, Thailand) chipped in with 11 digs apiece. For the Royals, Frankie Coto and Shane Holderby had a share of the game high in kills finishing with 11 each.
The Chargers look to bounce back on the road Wednesday at 7:00 PM against New Jersey City University.
