Phoenixville, PA- The Chargers fall to 5-14 on the season with the 75-61 loss to Valley Forge Christian College. Lancaster's fifth straight loss gives the Chargers a 1-3 record in the East Region and drops the team to fourth place overall.
Lancaster took a two point lead, 33-31, into halftime thanks to connecting on five of ten attempts from behind the arc and doubling up their opponents on the boards, 22-11.
The Chargers went cold in the second half shooting 27.3% and 0-9 from three as the momentum started to swing in the home team's favor. The Patriots took the lead four minutes into the second half and never looked back outscoring Lancaster 44-28 in the second half for the eventual final, 75-61. Valley Forge was led by Amanda Parr who finished with a game high 25 points, 17 of which were scored in the second stanza.
Cindy Blough (Friedens, PA) led the Chargers with team high 15 points and eight rebounds to go along with two steals and a pair of blocks. Nicole Karschner chipped in with 12 points of her own.
Lancaster returns home on Saturday to host Christendom College at 1:00 PM.
