Langhorne, PA- The Chargers (1-7) lost for the second time this season to the Crimson Eagles of Philadelphia Biblical University, Thursday in four sets 11-30, 22-30, 30-24, 10-30.
Despite the tally in the loss column, the Chargers show improvement taking a set from the #14 ranked team. In the first meeting between the teams, PBU took the match without much of a fight three sets to none.
Sophomore, Jake Harbold (Chaing Mai, Thailand) finished with a team high eight kills, in the loss. Rookie, Steve Osborne (Coatesville, PA) finished with a .200 hitting percentage with five kills and two errors on 15 attempts. Setter, Andy Read (York, PA) led the Chargers with 20 assists for the match. Ben Fuller had team highs in kills and digs, 12 and 11, to lead the Eagles.
The Chargers look to snap their five game losing streak on Saturday when they face Polytechnic Institute of New York University at Bard College at 3:00 PM.
