Coming off their first win of the season, the Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team stressed that they continue playing good defense earn their points during the match. Saturday, at the Crimson Eagle Classic, they did just that.
LBC earned a victory in its first match against Farmingdale State College, winning 3-1 (25-27, 25-17, 25-19, 25-22). The Chargers took on Stevenson in their afternoon match and despite losing to a tough Mustang team 3-0, Head Coach Lauren Mable said it was by far the team's best match of the season.
"We played really well today," Mable said. "We played unified volleyball, and the team put forth effort on every single point."
The Mustangs defeated the Chargers by scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.
"The match was smooth and we played some great defense," Mable said.
LBC returns to the floor on Wednesday when they travel to Williamsport to take on Lycoming at 7:00 p.m.
