The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Monday, February 15 when they take on Mount Aloysius at 6:00 p.m.
Fans attending the game are asked to wear pink. Those who have survived or lost a loved one due to breast cancer will be recognized during the contest.
The team will be selling pink t-shirts during the game, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Kay Yow Foundation. Kay Yow coached NCAA women's basketball for 38 years, most notably at North Carolina State University. She is one of six coaches in NCAA Division I history to amass 700 victories. Yow passed away on January 24, 2009 after battling breast cancer. She was first diagnosed in 1987 and fought off the disease twice before passing away during her third battle.
The Chargers will wear the pink t-shirts during warm-ups before the game.
