The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team saw their two-match winning streak come to an end on Thursday. Penn State Berks defeated the Chargers, 3-0, winning 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.
Peggy Compton led the Chargers with 10 kills and 10 assists.
Brittney Becker chipped in with 11 digs, while
Lauren Heliger had seven kills.
LBC (13-17) plays Frostburg State, Messiah and St. Mary's [Md.] this weekend in St. Mary's City, Md. All three opponents are above .500 and LBC Head Coach
Lauren Bewley and the rest of the Chargers are looking forward to the competition.
"We didn't play very well tonight against Penn State Berks, so we hope to play better this weekend against the same level of competition," Bewley said.
The Chargers will take on Frostburg State Friday night at 6:00 p.m. They will face Messiah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and take on the host Seahawks, Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
