The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team competed in the 6th Annual York College Men's Volleyball Classic this weekend in Jamaica, N.Y. The Chargers finished 2-2 in their four matches. One of the losses came to the tournament's winner, Mount Olive.
LBC lost Mount Olive in their opening match, 3-0, before beating the host, York College, 3-0 in their next match.
Justin Perkins had five kills and 17 digs for the Chargers.
Jesse Corbin had 13 kills and four digs in the win.
Brent Hurst, who made the All-Tournament Team, had 33 assists.
The Chargers (8-13) followed that win with another on Saturday afternoon, defeating the New York City College of Technology, 3-0. In their final match of the day, LBC lost to King College, 3-0. King also finished the tournament 4-0, but lost a tie-breaker to Mount Olive and took home 2nd place.
LBC will wrap up its season on March 23 when they travel to Eastern Mennonite at 7:00 p.m.
