Chargers Crush Mounties, Earn First Win

The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer game against Mount Aloysius on Friday provided the team to getting back to their winning ways - and to let out some frustration as well.

Scoring all seven of their goals in the first 40 minutes of play, the Chargers pounded the host Mounties, 7-0 in Cresson, Pa.

Senior Kyle Zook and junior Cory Greiser each scored twice to lead the Chargers. Kevin Keltner, Taylor Dooley and Robert Patch all added their first goals of the season as well. For Patch, it was the first goal of his collegiate career.

Senior Zak Kraehmer had three assists, while Greiser and Lawrence Lartey each added one helper.

"It's nice to get the first win and begin to see some progress," LBC Head Coach Josh Beers said. "I think we have played better in each game and we will enjoy this for a day or two, but face a tough opponent on Monday in Washington Adventist."

The Shock are 3-2 this season and lost 2-1 earlier in the year to Division II Slippery Rock. The game, in Takoma Park, Md., begins at 6:00 p.m.
