The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team opened the 2011 campaign at Eastern Mennonite University this past weekend, competing in the Hampton Inn & Sleep Inn EMU D-II/D-III Classic.
The Chargers, along with seven other teams, played four matches over two days in Harrisonburg, Va.
LBC opened the season with a three set loss to Kean, 25-13, 25-20, 25-11. Later on Friday, the Chargers fell to NCAA Division II member, Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-14).
On Saturday, the Chargers earned their first set win of the season in a 3-1 loss to Pfeiffer University. LBC lost, 25-7, 25-11, 22-25, 25-12. LBC wrapped up their stay at EMU with a 3-0 loss to Limestone (25-9, 25-12, 25-15).
The Chargers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Stevenson University to take on the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.
