Cabrini Handles LBC, 98-61

Tuesday night's game at Cabrini started off poorly for the Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team, then it got a little better, then it went back to being bad and finally it turned ugly. The Chargers battled for much of the first half, before the host Cavaliers turned up the tempo and began hitting basically every shot they took.

Cabrini didn't stop there and easily defeated the Chargers, 98-61 in Radnor, Pa. After shooting 63 percent in the first half, the Cavaliers shot 57 percent in the second and outscored the Chargers 47-25 in the second half.

After trailing 16-3 just five minutes into the game, LBC (4-8) battled back and tied the game at 30-30 with seven minutes remaining in the opening half. From there, Cabrini took hold of the game, ending the first half on a 21-6 run.

Keith Keltner led LBC with 10 points, while his brother Kevin Keltner had seven points, six rebounds and five assists. Andrew Risser and Madison Warfel each had eight points.

LBC shot just 39 percent from the floor,  including 5-of-15 from from beyond the arc.

The road does not get any easier for the Chargers as they visit #13 ranked Franklin & Marshall on Thursday in Lancaster, Pa. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.

Notes:
-Cabrini is now 2-0 all-time against the Chargers.

-The loss was the worst for LBC since losing to Eastern Mennonite, 96-53 on November 15, 2009.
