Chargers Play Well in Loss to Whitworth

Though the final score does not reflect the initial feeling the title of this article gives, the Lancaster Bible College women's basketball coaching staff was pleased with the way the Chargers played in their 95-49 loss against Whitworth University on Saturday night.

Lauren Heliger and Emily Lloyd each had 17 points for the Chargers who went 0-2 on their West Coast trip to Washington. Emily Guthrie had a game-high 29 points for Whitworth who improved to 4-6. Turnovers plagued the Chargers as they committed 25 and Whitworth scored 43 points off of those turnovers.

LBC is now 2-4 and does not play until January 3 against NCCAA East Region rival Baptist Bible College. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Chargers have not beaten the Defenders since the 2002-03 season and are 12-65 all-time against BBC.
