The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team could have played the famous Frank Sinatra song the whole way home from Cazenovia, N.Y. on Sunday after their sweep of the first NEAC crossover weekend. The Chargers beat SUNY Cobleskill, Cazenovia and Keuka to move to 3-0 in NEAC play and 7-1 overall.
In LBC's opening match against SUNY Cobleskill the Chargers won, 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.
In their second match, Olson added 14 kills and and five digs as the Chargers defeated Cazenovia, 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.
Sunday morning, the Chargers defeated Keuka, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 25-21. Olson and Donato had double digit kills again and LBC had its first five-game winning streak since 2008 when they won six in a row in late September and early October.
LBC is off to its best start since 2003 when the team was 13-4 at the end of September. The Chargers will look to extend their winning streak on Tuesday when they face NCCAA East Region foes Valley Forge Christian and Philadelphia Biblical. LBC will play the Patriots at 4 p.m. and the Crimson Eagles at 6 p.m.
The team returns home on Thursday to face Penn St. Berks in a NEAC battle at 7 p.m.
