Lancaster Bible - Morrisville State Game Notes

The first of three home Saturday doubleheaders this season will be held at Horst Athletic Center on Saturday as Lancaster Bible College hosts Morrisville State College at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The Mustangs' men's basketball team currently sits atop the NEAC North Division standings at 3-0, while the LBC men are 1-4 in NEAC play. The LBC women's basketball team improved to 4-2 in NEAC play with a victory over Gallaudet on Wednesday, while Morrisville State is 1-3 in NEAC play.

Morrisville State This Season: The Mustangs have won three straight games, including two NEAC games since coming back from Christmas Break...Morrisville State defeated SUNYIT, 87-81 on Wednesday behind 21 points from Kucjok Ater...The Mustangs trailed by as many as 11 in the second half before using an 18-4 run midway through the half to take the lead...Mickey Davis leads the Mustangs with 18.6 points per game, while Brandon Hanks averages 6.6 rebounds per game...Morrisville State is the only undefeated team in NEAC play left in the North Division...Gallaudet and Penn St. Harrisburg from the South Division are still undefeated in NEAC play as well.
Lancaster Bible This Season: The Chargers did their best Jekyll and Hyde impression on Wednesday against Gallaudet, completely controlling the game in the first half and letting it slip away by committing turnovers and mental errors in the second half, as they lost to the Bison, 72-55...Corey Leonard had 10 points on 5-of-5 shooting to lead LBC...Darrell Epps leads LBC in scoring with 10.1 points per game, while Andrew Risser is the team leader with four rebounds per contest...This is LBC's third opponent in four games from the state of New York...They faced Wells and Keuka last weekend.

Morrisville State This Season: The Mustangs have lost seven of their last eight games, including their most recent contest on Wednesday against SUNYIT, 60-41...Nijah Townsend leads Morrisville State with 14.1 points and 10 rebounds per game...The Mustangs will travel west to Chambersburg, Pa. after today's game to battle Wilson College on Sunday.
Lancaster Bible This Season: The Chargers improved to 4-6 overall and 4-2 in NEAC play with a 58-36 victory over Gallaudet on Wednesday...The Chargers have more wins, four, than NEAC South Division leader Penn St. Harrisburg, but trail the Nittany Lions in winning percentage...Lauren Heliger continues to lead LBC with 17.5 points per game...LBC has also gotten great contribution from Brooklyn Wilson [13 points on Wednesday] and Sarah Heilenman [8 points, 11 rebounds on Wednesday - team leader in rebounds per game] recently, helping them to two wins in their last three games...LBC will travel to St. Elizabeth on Wednesday before hosting four straight games.
