The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team kicked off its 2012 season with back-to-back victories on Saturday, defeating SUNYIT and Gallaudet at the SUNYIT Tournament in Utica, N.Y.

The Chargers defeated the Wildcats in their opening match, 3-1. LBC won, 25-23, 17-25, 25-22, 25-22. In the second match, against the Bison, the Chargers won 3-0 [25-10, 25-16, 25-14].

"I thought we played pretty well considering it was our first match," Chargers' Head Coach Evelyn Long said. "There are obviously things to work on, but I thought the matches went well."

The two wins equal last season's total and the Chargers will have the opportunity to get wins three and four on Sunday when they face Bard [10 a.m.] and Elms [12 p.m.].
