Last Game:
Messiah: The Falcons defeated Eastern Connecticut, 72-71 in overtime thanks to Brad Bolen's runner with just over a second left in the extra period. Bolen's clutch was the second of the game for Messiah as Lancaster County's own, Taylor Groff sent the game to overtime with a jumper at the buzzer to tie the game at 62-62. 
Lancaster Bible: The Chargers closed out the first semester with an 83-70 loss at Mount Aloysius. Four players scored in double figures for the Chargers, led by Dan Karl's 16. Karl was 6-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Fellow senior Keith Keltner added 14 points as well for LBC.

Messiah 75, Lancaster Bible 50
David Fernandez was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor en route to 16 points as the Falcons opened the 2011-12 season with a 25-point victory over the Chargers. Derek Mosley added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons, while Benjamin Scott had a team-high eight points for LBC.

Messiah: This will be Messiah's final non-conference game of the season as their final 13 games of the year are Commonwealth Conference games. The Falcons are 3-2 in non-conference games thus far. The Falcons have two Lancaster County natives on the roster, the aforementioned Taylor Groff who attended Lampeter-Strasburg and freshman Ryan Shipper who attended Lancaster Christian.
Lancaster Bible: Following the matchup with the Falcons, the Chargers will play seven straight NEAC games, starting on Saturday when they host Wells at 3 p.m. The Chargers are 0-6 all-time against Messiah.
