Lancaster Bible - Wilson Game Notes

The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team will look to continue its march towards a NEAC playoff berth on Saturday when they host Wilson College at 1 p.m. The Chargers will also look to two games over the .500 mark for the first time since the beginning of the 2005-06 season. With two wins in their final four games, the Chargers will finish the regular season with a winning record for the first time since the 2005-06 season.

Lauren Heliger had a game-high 27 points to lead the Chargers past the Phoenix...Heliger was 10-of-20 from the field and added seven steals, five assists and four boards...Emily Lloyd had 12 points and four steals as LBC improved to 2-2...Tara Fields had 13 points for Wilson, while Vanessa Whitfield had seven points and 13 rebounds...The Phoenix shot just 22% from the floor.
Wilson This Season: The Phoenix have lost nine straight games...Tara Fields is fourth in the NEAC in scoring with 17.8 points per game...Vannessa Whitfield's 10.4 rebounds per game are also good enough for fourth in the NEAC...Both of Wilson's wins this season came against Penn St. Abington...The Phoenix are 1-6 on the road this season.
Lancaster Bible This Season: The Chargers will be looking for their second three-game winning streak of the season on Saturday...LBC won a tough road game at Trinity Washington on Wednesday, defeating the Tigers, 61-54...Lauren Heliger continues to lead the Chargers with 16.9 points per game, which is fifth best in the NEAC...LBC held Wilson to 10 first half points the last time these two teams played...LBC will host College of St. Elizabeth on Thursday night...The game will be LBC's Play4Kay game as they honor breast cancer awareness...The Chargers' players will wear pink shoes and shooting shirts, while the first 100 fans will receive a pink rally towel.
