The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team started fast on Saturday and never looked back as they cruised to an easy, 82-63 victory over SUNY Cobleskill.
Keith Keltner led the Chargers with 12 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, while
Erich Graybill had 15 points and five rebounds.
LBC [6-13, 4-8 NEAC] began the game on a 7-0 run and less than midway through the first half, led by 17 points at 26-9. The lead would increase to 22 at one point before the Chargers took a 44-26 lead into halftime.
"All-in-all we played a very good game today," Chargers' Head Coach
Pete Beers said. "I thought a lot of the guys played well today, including Big E [Graybill] and
Keith Keltner."
Beers also pointed out the efforts of senior
Brett Derr who had eight points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.
"I think that might be the best I've seen
Brett Derr play," Beers said. "He did a little bit of everything and really played well."
Fellow senior
Madison Warfel had 12 points and seven rebounds, while
Andrew Risser had nine points and nine boards.
The Chargers will play three non-conference games in a row this week, starting with Penn St. Altoona on Monday night in Altoona. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. LBC will host Penn St. Brandywine on Wednesday and wrap the week up with a home game on Friday night against St. Joseph's [Brooklyn].
Notes:
-Altoona and Brandywine will mark the fourth and fifth Penn State branch campus teams the Chargers have played this season. The other three schools are NEAC opponents - Abington, Berks and Harrisburg.
