The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team opened the home portion of its 2012 schedule with a victory on Monday night, defeating Washington Adventist, 3-0. The Chargers won, 25-9, 25-10, 25-19.
Alex Bahn led LBC with 14 assists, five digs and three aces.
Andy Nguyen had nine digs, while
A.J. Longacre added five kills and two solo blocks. The Chargers [5-2] controlled play throughout the match against the young Shock squad.
"We gained a lot of confidence from tonight's match," LBC Head Coach Evelyn Long said. "We got to use our bench and it will be huge going forward for us that they got this learning experience."
LBC does not play again until February 14 when they host Philadelphia Biblical University. In the meantime, Long said the team has things to work on, specifically their defensive movement. Long did say though that the team has begun to come together and good things are happening.
"The team chemistry is getting better and it is helping our overall game," Long said.
In addition to hosting PBU on February 14, the Chargers will also host Gallaudet and Stevenson for a tri-match on Wednesday, February 22.
