Box Score 2 A day after taking Franklin & Marshall to five sets, the Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team couldn't get off the blocks on Saturday and lost back-to-back matches to conclude the Crosstown Crossover held at F&M.
In the opening match, the Chargers lost to fellow NEAC member, Penn St. Berks, 3-0. The Nittany Lions won, 25-23, 25-21, 25-21. With the loss, LBC is now 6-5 all-time against Penn St. Berks and will play them at least one more time this season, when the teams meet for their conference match on Sept. 20 in Reading, Pa.
"It was a struggle during the morning match," LBC Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said. "We are still trying to adjust some things at this point in the season."
The Chargers lost the afternoon match by the same 3-0 score to Elizabethtown. LBC lost, 25-13, 25-17, 25-14 to the Blue Jays. E-town improves to 3-0 all-time against the Chargers.
"E-town has big blockers in the middle and we just couldn't get around them," Bewley said.
LBC will have a few days off until they host Delaware Valley on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
