Box Score Another slow start and sloppy first half play hurt the Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team on Saturday as they lost to Rosemont, 2-1. Patrick McElroy and Luke McIlvaine had a goal and an assist each for the visiting Ravens.
LBC sophomore
Miles Herron scored the lone Chargers' goal with 35 minutes remaining in the game, but LBC could not score the equalizer. Chargers' goalkeeper
Tim Landis, Jr. made six saves in the loss.
"We started slow and gave the ball away too easily," LBC Head Coach
Tom Ardt said. "We picked it up some in the second half, but too little, too late."
The Chargers (0-4-2) managed just seven shots the entire game and gave up many quality chances to Rosemont.
"We were slow to support the ball and played very little team defense," Ardt said. "We've got to find a way to play sharper, harder and stronger for 90 minutes."
LBC gets its next chance to play a full 90 minutes on Tuesday when Baptist Bible College comes to Lancaster. The game, LBC's first NCCAA East Region contest of the year, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
