Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team turned in one of its best performances of the season on Tuesday as they defeated Cairn and Valley Forge Christian in a tri-match held in Phoenixville, Pa. In the process, the Chargers clinched the top spot for next month's NCCAA East Region playoffs. LBC will host the East Region Semi-Finals and Final on Friday, October 26 with the winner heading to the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla.
LBC won its first five-set match of the season in its opening match against the Highlanders. The Chargers won, 25-23, 17-25, 27-25, 13-25, 15-10. LBC is now 1-4 this season in five set matches. In the nightcap, LBC easily defeated the host Patriots, 25-14, 25-9, 25-17.
"These were both good wins for us," Chargers' Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said. "It was a great way to end our stretch of matches over the past week. The week off will be beneficial, and I'm proud of the hard work the team has put in thus far."
LBC (6-13) is off until next Tuesday when they will travel to Dover, Del. to take on Wesley at 7 p.m.
