Game Preview: Lancaster Bible at Penn St. Abington

Women's Basketball:

Last Game:
Lancaster Bible: The Chargers saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end as they lost to SUNYIT, 88-81. Senior Lauren Heliger had a game-high 24 points, while Aubrey Folger added 21 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Sarah Heilenman added 16 points, while Brooklyn Wilson had 15 points and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
Penn St. Abington: The Nittany Lions lost their third straight game, falling to Wells, 79-69. Trish Watson led Abington with 21 points, while Jessica Schmidt added 19 points and nine rebounds. Turnovers hurt the Nittany Lions as they committed 20 and Wells took advantage, scoring 23 points off the 20 turnovers.

Lauren Heliger had 20 points, while Brooklyn Wilson added 15 and the Chargers held off Penn St. Abington to grab the 10-point victory. The win improved LBC to 13-10 and dropped the Nittany Lions to 0-22.

Lancaster Bible: The Chargers remain four wins from tying the program record for most wins in one season. LBC has 10 games remaining in the regular season, including eight NEAC games. Their non-conference opponents include Elizabethtown on Monday evening and Valley Forge Christian on February 7.
Penn St. Abington: After finishing the season, 0-25 last year, the Nittany Lions are 7-8 this season. The Nittany Lions are currently in the third and final playoff spot in the NEAC South Division. They are a game up on St. Elizabeth who is 4-4.

Last Game:
Lancaster Bible: The Chargers nearly completed one of the greatest comebacks in team history on Monday as they trailed SUNYIT by 24 points early in the second half before roaring back to within two with 1:34 to play before the Wildcats hit a three-pointer and closed the deal with free throws. The Chargers lost 72-67, but not before freshman Dondre Perry had 20 points for LBC and CJ Dunston added 11 points and nine rebounds. 
Penn St. Abington: The Nittany Lions snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating Wells, 72-71. Max Alton had 28 points to lead Abington, while Mike Marvin had 18 points and 21 rebounds. Mike Colacci's three-pointer with 10 seconds to play gave Abington a one-point lead and Wells' Jordan Bishop missed a shot as time expired.

Josh Howard had 26 points to lead Abington past the Chargers. Mike Marvin added 21 points and 13 boards for the Nittany Lions as they avenged an earlier loss to LBC. Darrell Epps had a team-high 22 points for LBC, while Keith Keltner added 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Lancaster Bible: Tonight is LBC's fifth straight game on the road. They are 1-3 in the first four games. LBC will return home on Saturday when they face Penn St. Berks. After another road game on Monday at Lancaster County neighbor, Elizabethtown, the Chargers will be home for three straight games.
