Groff finally found the back of the net for the Chargers 6:57 into the second half as he collected a pass from
Kevin Forsyth and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper. Just over eight minutes later, senior
Kyle Lambertson scored off a ball that skimmed off of the crossbar and came right to his feet. His goal into the empty net was his first of the season.
Â
Freshman
Matt Nargi wrapped up the scoring with one of the prettiest goals of the season as he bicycle kicked a goal into the left-hand side from 10 yards out.
Â
"That was a nice one for sure," Chargers Head Coach
Tom Ardt said of Nargi's goal. "I thought after the first 15 minutes we played very well and it was nice for everyone to play."
