Box Score Finally back playing NEAC games, the Lancaster Bible men's soccer team battled Wells to a 0-0 tie on Friday at Charger Field. The tie moves LBC to 3-6-2 overall and 1-1-1 in NEAC play.
In a game that featured very few chances, the teams played much of the game in the midfield. Both teams earned free kicks just outside the box, but both shots were blocked by the opposing team's wall.
LBC Head Coach
Tom Ardt thought his team played well, but needed to make better in-game adjustments.
"I thought we were a scrappy team today and played well against a good, physical team, but we need to do a better job making sure we know our assignments and doing those little things throughout the game," Ardt said.
Chargers goalkeeper
Stefan Smith made seven saves, while
Brandon Wilcox,
Branden Peiffer and
Kurt Keltner all had two shots.
The Chargers will have little time to recover from their double overtime tie as they host Keuka on Saturday at 1 p.m. LBC lost to Keuka, 2-0 last season in Keuka Park, N.Y.
