Box Score The Lancaster Bible men's basketball team's North Eastern Athletic Conference winning streak came to an abrupt end on Tuesday night in the nation's capital as Gallaudet defeated the Chargers, 73-59. The loss snaps the Chargers' seven-game NEAC winning streak and drops them to 7-1 in conference play.

Lancaster Bible trailed by just one, 32-31, at the half, but struggled mightily in the second half shooting the ball as they were a measly, 11-of-32 from the floor and scored just 28 points. The Chargers attempted just 12 free throws over the 40 minutes, well below their season average of 20 which was something that irked head coach Marshall Tague.

"We struggled hitting shots all night and we weren't good at the line at all," Tague said.

The Chargers have been able to stop opposing teams' scoring runs by getting to the free throw line or at the very least, earn a couple of free points throughout the game and establish their physicality. Lancaster Bible made just five of their twelve attempts on Tuesday.

"We didn't get to line enough either," Tague said. "Gallaudet just made more plays than us tonight."

Sophomore CJ Dunston had a team-high 17 points and added 12 rebounds and three steals, while Albert Suniga and Naheer Mirza each had 13 points. Mirza also added nine assists for the Chargers who fell to 9-6 overall.

"Gallaudet was able to work the ball inside when they needed a basket and they hit big shots when they needed them as well," Tague said. "They were better tonight, plain and simple."

Despite the loss, the Chargers still have a two-game lead in the loss column as every other team in the NEAC has at least three losses. Lancaster Bible will look to bounce back this weekend when they host SUNY Cobleskill on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by SUNYIT at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

"We will regroup and look to have a good weekend on Friday and Saturday," said Tague whose Chargers will have played at least every NEAC team at least once after Saturday's game with the Wildcats.

Junior Corey Leonard also added six points and six boards for the Chargers who are now 2-5 all-time against the Bison (6-10, 5-4 NEAC).
