Chargers Split NEAC Day in New York

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team split two North Eastern Athletic Conference matches on Saturday in Keuka Park, N.Y. as the Chargers lost 3-1 to SUNYIT and rebounded to sweep Cazenovia, 3-0. The Chargers are now 5-18 overall and 3-3 in NEAC play. Below is a quick recap of each of Saturday's matches.

SUNYIT 3, Lancaster Bible 1
18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19


Lancaster Bible won the opening set of the match, but lost a close second set, 25-23, before the Wildcats sealed the match with back-to-back 25-19 victories. Senior Alex Bahn had match-highs in both kills, 14, and digs, 16. Fellow senior Mitch Demko added 11 kills as well for the Chargers who had defeated SUNYIT, 3-2 earlier this season. Junior Corey Leonard had a strong match as well for Lancaster Bible as he had seven kills, 11 digs and three blocks.

Bahn once again had a match-high 14 kills as the Chargers swept the Wildcats for the second time this season. Nathan Diehl and Demko each added nine kills, while TJ Forsythe and Leonard had six kills each. Tyler Eckels chipped in with 34 assists, while fellow junior Paul Fulbright had 19 digs over the two matches.

Lancaster Bible wraps up its regular season next Saturday when they host Wells at 2 p.m. and Keuka at 4 p.m. Wells and Keuka have already played one another twice this season and will not play each other at Lancaster Bible next Saturday.
