Chargers Fall in NEAC Final

Box Score The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team lost in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Final for the second straight season on Saturday as the Chargers fell to SUNYIT in straight sets. The top-seeded Wildcats won, 25-17, 25-21, 25-14. 

Lancaster Bible senior Mitch Demko had 10 kills to lead the Chargers in his final match, while Ken Diller added six kills. Senior Alex Bahn, playing out of position due to a short bench for the Chargers, had four kills and 20 assists. Junior Corey Leonard added five kills and three digs for the Chargers who finished the season with a 7-19 overall record. 

The match ends the careers of Demko and Bahn who will leave the program as two of the best players to play at Lancaster Bible. Bahn exits as the all-time leader in assists (1,307) and aces (135) and is second all-time at Lancaster Bible in kills with 562 and digs with 545. Bahn did all of this in just three seasons with the Chargers as he played at Juniata as a freshman. 

Demko meanwhile leaves in third place all-time in kills with 521 and second in total attacks with 1,507. 

After beginning the season witha  2-16 record, the Chargers rebounded to finish 5-3 in their final eight matches. Needing two wins on the final day of the regular season, the Chargers did just that as they defeated Wells and Keuka to earn the second and final spot in the NEAC Final.
