Box Score 2 Needing two victories on Saturday to secure the second and final spot in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Final scheduled for next Saturday, the Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team did exactly what it needed to do and took down Wells and Keuka in back-to-back matches. The Chargers defeated the Express, 3-1 and then swept the Storm, 3-0 at Horst Athletic Center.
In the opener, the Chargers dropped the first set 25-21, before roaring back to win, 25-17, 25-23 and 28-26. The third and fourth sets were back-and-forth battles as the Chargers were able to erase early deficits to earn the wins. Not wanting to play their final matches just yet, Lancaster Bible seniors 
Mitch Demko and 
Alex Bahn led the way all day for the Chargers as Demko had 19 kills and 15 digs against Wells, while Bahn added 14 kills, eight digs and four aces.
Ken Diller added five kills and seven blocks against the Express, while 
TJ Forsythe had four kills and two digs. Junior 
Corey Leonard also added three kills, four digs and four blocks for the Chargers.
In the second match, all three sets were close, but each time, the Chargers were able to pull out the victory as they won, 26-24, 25-22, 25-21. It was once again the Demko and Bahn show as Demko slammed home 15 kills, while Bahn added 11. Junior 
Tyler Eckels added 33 assists and two blocks, while Diller had seven kills and three digs.
Lancaster Bible and Wells finished with identical 5-3 NEAC records, but the Chargers held the tie-breaker. The teams split their regular season matches, but Lancaster Bible won, 3-1, while the Express won, 3-2 earlier this season. The Chargers (7-18, 5-3 NEAC) will now face SUNYIT which won the NEAC Regular Season title with a 7-1 record. Their lone loss came to Lancaster Bible on February 15, when the Chargers won, 3-2. The Wildcats defeated Lancaster Bible on March 29, 3-1.
The Chargers appeared in last season's NEAC Final as well when they lost to Keuka, 3-1.
