Schedule Highlights: The Chargers will once again open the season with the Crosstown Crossover that features Franklin & Marshall, Elizabethtown and Penn St. Berks...Lancaster Bible will host F&M to open the season on August 29 and then play the Nittany Lions and Blue Jays the following day at Elizabethtown...Five straight home matches will following, including matches with Messiah and Cairn on September 6...The Chargers will open North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Sept. 19 against Keuka and take on Cazenovia and SUNY Cobleskill the following day...After another NEAC match, this time at Penn St. Berks on Sept. 23, the Chargers will face Mount Aloysius in Cresson, Pa. on Sept. 25 and then have a week off before jumping right back into NEAC play on October 3...Lancaster Bible will play fellow NCCAA East Region members Cairn and Valley Forge Christian on Oct. 8 in Langhorne, Pa. before heading to Chestertown, Md. to play Muhlenberg and Washington (Md.) on Oct. 11...The longest week of the season will be up next for the Chargers as they face Gallaudet in the Nation's Capital on Monday, Oct. 13 and then host Lycoming on Oct. 15...Two days later, the Chargers will host a NEAC weekend that will see nine matches played in Horst Athletic Center...Lancaster Bible will play in three of those matches as they conclude a week in which they play five matches...The NCCAA East Region Playoffs are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25 at the highest seed and the Chargers will wrap-up the regular season on November 1 at Catholic...The NEAC Playoffs, should the Chargers qualify, will be Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 8-9.

Season Outlook: The Chargers welcome six new members to the squad this season, but look to be built in the same way as years past...A tough, defensive team that can play with most teams, the Chargers are hopeful they will qualify for the NEAC Playoffs for the fourth straight season...The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team always plays a tough schedule and they will showcase that once again as many of the non-conference teams on the schedule were picked high in their respective conference's preseason polls...The Chargers should get a boost at the end of the season as they get to host a NEAC weekend for the first time since 2012...Should they need a conference win at that point of the year, hosting the match could help.

Katie Coomber will look to continue her stellar play as she became just the fourth player in program history with more than 400 kills in a season last year...Despite making the NEAC Playoffs over the past three seasons, the Chargers have not had an overall winning record...They have not done that since 2008 when they were 16-14...In 2009, the Chargers were an even 16-16.
