Box Score Playing its final home match for almost a month, the Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team went out with a bang as they rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Goucher in five sets at Horst Athletic Center. The Chargers, who are back at the .500 mark, won 13-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.Â

Hannah Derr and senior
Katie Coomber each had 12 kills to pace the Chargers and Derr added 11 digs and 34 assists as well. Coomber added 19 digs as well, while freshman
Myranda Kemrer had 11 kills, 16 digs and three aces. Junior
Joanna Butala played one of her better matches of the season as she had seven kills, 11 digs and two aces.
"We are continuing to grow mentally and this is a great win to carry us into North Eastern Athletic Conference play," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said.Â
The win runs Lancaster Bible's winning streak to four matches. The last time the Chargers won at least four straight was during the 2012 season when they won six straight matches from Oct. 16 to Oct. 26.
As Bewley noted, Lancaster Bible (5-5) will open NEAC play this weekend as they travel to SUNY Cobleskill for three matches. The Chargers will face Keuka on Friday at 6 p.m. and then play Cazenovia (10 a.m.) and SUNY Cobleskill (12 p.m.) on Saturday.Â
Notes:-Goucher still leads the all-time series, 8-2.
-Lancaster Bible defeated Goucher in five sets two years ago in Lancaster as well.
