The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team kicked off its 2015 season on Tuesday night in Harrisonburg, Va. against Eastern Mennonite and like they had done the previous 17 times prior, the Chargers lost to the Royals. Eastern Mennonite won Tuesday's edition, 3-0 as they cruised to victory winning, 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.
Lancaster Bible sophomore
TJ Forsythe had a team-high six kills, while
Justin Stoltzfus,
Alex Woelkers and
Caleb Strite each added four kills. Juniors
Derek Bigley and
Nathan Diehl each had a team-high seven digs, while Woelkers led the team with three blocks.
Senior
Paul Fulbright, in his first season as the full-time setter, had 17 assists and two digs.Â
The host Royals were led by Tim Callahan's 11 kills. For the match, Eastern Mennonite had 30 kills, while the Chargers had 20.
Lancaster Bible will host its first match of the season on Thursday as the Chargers welcome Stevenson to Horst Athletic Center for a 7 p.m. match.
