The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team lost for the third straight time on Tuesday night as the Chargers fell to Eastern Mennonite, 3-0 at Horst Athletic Center. It was the second time in a week the Royals defeated the Chargers as Eastern Mennonite topped Lancaster Bible, 3-0 last Tuesday in Harrisonburg, Va. Tuesday night in Lancaster, the Royals won, 25-15, 25-23, 25-17.
Eastern Mennonite's Micah Buller led all players with 13 kills, while teammate Jesse Reist had 11 kills.Â
Lancaster Bible was led by sophomore
TJ Forsythe who had nine kills and four digs.
Justin Stoltzfus and
Derek Bigley each had four kills, while
Alex Woelkers had a team-high three blocks. Senior
Paul Fulbright had 19 assists to go with his two blocks, while
Freddie Vargas had the lone ace for the Chargers.
Nathan Diehl joined Forsythe with four digs, while
Caleb Strite had two kills and block.
Lancaster Bible (0-3) returns to the court on Friday when the Chargers face York (N.Y.) in Langhorne, Pa. at 4 p.m. as part of the Cairn Classic. The Chargers will take on Cairn and Southern Vermont on Saturday. Lancaster Bible will take on the host Highlanders at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Southern Vermont at 2 p.m.
