The Lancaster Bible women's soccer team wrapped up its regular season on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to SUNY Polytechnic in Utica, N.Y. Despite the loss, the Chargers will be the fourth seed in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Playoffs and host Keuka in a quarterfinal contest on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Lancaster Bible and Keuka tied with 25 points (8-3-1), but the Chargers held the tie-breaker over the Wolfpack thanks to Lancaster Bible's, 1-0 double overtime victory on Sept. 19.Â
How it Happened: On Saturday, the Chargers and Wildcats battled back-and-forth in an evenly matched game. The Wildcats scored the lone goal of the contest at the 27:39 mark as Nakeya Stedman netted her seventh goal of the season. Lancaster Bible had several chances in the second half, including two shots in the final minute, but the Chargers could not find the back of the net and were shutout for the seventh time this season.
