Six Different Goal Scorers Send Chargers Past Phoenix

The Lancaster Bible women's soccer team climbed above the .500 mark for the first time this season with a 6-0 victory at Wilson in Chambersburg, Pa. on Friday afternoon. The victory improves the Chargers to 6-5 overall and 5-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.

How it Happened: The Chargers got on the board early as Rachel Kumher fired a shot that was tipped and then floated over top of the Wilson goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The goal was Kumher's first of the season and the fourth of her career and the Chargers didn't stop there as they scored 10:48 later thanks to Abi Brady who scored for the second straight contest. Brady took Kumher's corner kick feed and deposited it into the back of the net to double Lancaster Bible's lead.

Senior Brook Cullum made it 3-0 with 4:45 to play in the first half as she took Alexa Evans' pass from the end line and fired it home. Sophomore Briana Fodor capped the first-half scoring with six seconds left in the half as she scored to the left side of the goalkeeper off of a pass from junior Alyssa Wesner

It took all of 6:28 into to the second half for the Chargers to make it 5-0 as Kumher once again initiated a goal from a corner kick. Kumher's cross went right to Evans who scored her second goal of the season. Junior Brianne Lieb scored a short time later as she netted the first goal of her collegiate career off of a pass from Wesner.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible dominated play as they outshot Wilson, 36-1 and held a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks...The Chargers put 27 shots on goal as Wilson goalkeeper Brianna Martin made 21 saves...Kumher finished with a goal and two assists, while Alexa Evans had a goal and an assist.

Information Hodge Podge: The six goals scored are the most for the Chargers since the team scored 14 in last season's 14-0 win over St. Elizabeth on Oct. 5, 2014...The Chargers are now 9-1 all-time against Wilson...Wesner's two assists on Friday give her 13 for her career which is the ninth-most in program history.
