The Lancaster Bible men's soccer team will be boarding a bus to upstate New York for the third time in a week on Tuesday night as the Chargers will head north to take on SUNY Polytechnic in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. The game is a rematch of just four days ago when the Wildcats defeated the Chargers, 4-2 and earned homefield advantage for the quarterfinal round.

The Lancaster Bible - SUNY Polytechnic quarterfinal winner will take on top-seeded Morrisville State in Morrisville, N.Y. on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. The other NEAC Quarterfinal is a contest between 6th seeded Penn St. Berks and 3rd seeded Keuka. The winner of that quarterfinal will face 2nd seeded Wells in the NEAC Semifinals on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Morrisville, N.Y.

The Chargers advanced all the way to the NEAC Final last season as they defeated Keuka in the NEAC Semifinals, 1-0 in overtime and then fell to top-seeded Morrisville State, 2-0 in the NEAC Final. This is the second straight season Lancaster Bible has played its final regular season opponent in its opening playoff game. Last season, the Chargers defeated Keuka, 3-1 in their regular season finale and followed that up with the aforementioned NEAC Semifinal win over the Wolfpack. This season, the Chargers hope to avoid losing back-to-back games to the same opponent and move onto the NEAC Semifinals.
