The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team lost for the second straight day as the Chargers fell to Cazenovia, 17-6 on Saturday afternoon in Cazenovia, N.Y. The loss drops Lancaster Bible to 0-4 this season and 0-2 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. Cazenovia meanwhile, improves to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

Alyssa Wesner put Lancaster Bible on the board with her 10th goal of the season with 20:35 remaining in the first half. The Wildcats scored three more times to take a 6-1 lead, before
Myranda Kemrer broke through for the Chargers.Â
The Wildcats would eventually take a 10-3 lead into halftime as Wesner scored again for the Chargers late in the half.Â
It was the Chargers who scored the first two goals of the second half as Wesner completed the hat trick and junior
Cheyenne Benson scored her second goal of the season to trim the deficit to 10-5 with 25:41 to play. Cazenovia rebounded and scored four goals over the next nine minutes to take a 14-5 lead with just over 16 minutes to play.Â
Wesner added her fourth of the day to make it 14-6, but the Chargers would not get closer and lost 17-6.
Myranda Kemrer and Wesner each had a team-high four ground balls, while
Lindsey Horning added three ground balls.
Bethany Dickerson made 12 saves in the loss.
Cazenovia outshot the Chargers, 45-17 and 45-21 edge in ground balls.
Lancaster Bible returns to the field on Monday when they travel to Frederick, Md. to take on Hood at 3:30 p.m.
