Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse | | Zach Freeman

Wolfpack Upend Chargers

The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team, playing its first home game of the season, stayed with defending North Eastern Athletic Conference Champion Keuka for the first 15 minutes of the game on Friday, but the Wolfpack showed why they are 20-3 since the beginning of last season as they controlled play over the final 25 minutes to defeat the Chargers, 21-4 at Charger Field.

The loss drops the Chargers to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in NEAC play this season, while the Wolfpack are now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in NEAC play.

Keuka scored the game's first three goals on Friday, but Lancaster Bible freshman Myranda Kemrer kept the Chargers in the game as she took advantage of two free position chances early in the first half as her second goal of the game cut the Chargers' deficit to 4-2 with 16:26 left in the first half.

The Wolfpack took over following Kemrer's second goal however as Keuka scored the final nine goals of the half to take a 13-2 lead into the break.

Keuka scored the first four goals of the second half as well to lead 17-2 before back-to-back goals from Kemrer and sophomore Alyssa Wesner trimmed Lancaster Bible's deficit to 17-4. Kemrer's three goals on Friday bring her season total to 12, while Wesner's goal was her 16th of the year. Lancaster Bible goalkeeper Bethany Dickerson made four saves in the loss.

Keuka was led by Jennifer Burt's four goals and two assists.

Lancaster Bible returns to action on Saturday when the Chargers host Wells at 1 p.m.
