The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team saw its two-game winning streak go up in flames over the past two days as the Chargers lost to SUNY Polytechnic and Medaille in upstate New York. The losses drop the Charges to 2-9 overall and 1-6 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. Lancaster Bible returns to action on Tuesday when the Chargers will play their final non-conference game of the season as they host Immaculata at 4 p.m.

SUNY Polytechnic 23, Lancaster Bible 7Lancaster Bible held an early 3-2 lead thanks to two goals from
Alyssa Wesner and another from
Myranda Kemrer, but the Wildcats scored 11 of the final 13 goals of the first half to take a 13-5 lead into halftime. SUNY Poly scored the first three goals of the second half as well to take a 16-5 lead, before Wesner scored her fifth of the game to shrink the Chargers' deficit to 10.
Junior
Cheyenne Benson added goal late in the half for the Chargers, but it was not enough as Lancaster Bible fell to 0-4 all-time against SUNY Poly.
Wesner finished with five goals and two ground balls, while Benson picked up a team-high five ground balls. Goalkeeper
Bethany Dickerson made eight saves in the loss as the Chargers were outshot, 40-23.
Medaille 20, Lancaster Bible 11The Chargers played well for 60 minutes, but it was not enough as the top team in the NEAC defeated the Chargers, 20-11 in Buffalo, N.Y. Kemrer scored four times in the first half for the Chargers, while
Naomi Otis and Wesner added the other Lancaster Bible goals. The Chargers trailed just 11-6 at the break, but the host Mavericks scored the first five goals of the second half to take a 16-6 lead with 21:16 to play.Â
Lancaster Bible scored four of the next five goals to cut the deficit to 17-10 with 3:53 to play, but it was too little, too late. Wesner scored four more times in the second half to bring her season total to 47 which leads the NEAC. Wesner's 52 points and 141 shots also lead the conference as she and the Chargers have three games remaining this season.
Kemrer also finished with five goals on Saturday and also had a game-high 13 ground balls. Lancaster Bible held a 28-26 advantage in ground balls as well, while Medaille outshot the Chargers 41-30. Emily Brophy had seven goals and three assists to lead Medaille.Â
