The Lancaster Bible women's soccer team saw its three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday as Mount Aloysius' Olivia Woodley scored 3:22 into overtime to give the Mounties the win. The loss drops the Chargers to 3-4 this season, while Mount Aloysius improved to 4-4.
How it Happened: For the third straight game, the Chargers went to overtime as neither team could manage much offense during the first 90 minutes. In the first half, the teams combined for just six shots as almost the whole half was played in the midfield. Lancaster Bible earned two corner kicks in the first half, but could not generate any quality chances. The game opened up a bit in the second half and the Chargers had their best chance of the game with 30 minutes to play as
Kirsten Webster's shot was tipped out of play the Mounties' goalkeeper, Zara Apakoh which gave Lancaster Bible a corner kick. Off the corner kick, Lancaster Bible put a shot on goal and after the ball was deflected into the air,
Marisa Jo Abts header went wide and the game remained scoreless.
Mount Aloysius had three later corner kicks, but could not convert and the game headed to overtime. Just over three minutes into the extra frame, the Mounties earned a corner kick and off of the kick, the ball deflected in the box and found Woodley's foot. Through a crowd of her teammates and Lancaster Bible defenders, her shot found the back of the net and gave the Mounties the win.

The Coach Says: "We have to take advantage of our chances that we get during regulation," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
