The Lancaster Bible men's soccer team posted its third tie of the season on Tuesday as the Chargers and Bryn Athyn played to a 0-0 tie after 110 minutes of soccer in Bryn Athyn, Pa. The tie moves Lancaster Bible's record to 3-2-3 overall and 1-2-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Lions are now 5-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in NEAC play.
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible controlled play in the first half and outshot the Lions, 7-2, but could not put the ball into the net. Bryn Athyn pushed back in the second half and outshot the Chargers, 8-5, but the Chargers withstood the Lions onslaught as Chargers' goalkeeper
Josue Bosque made three saves in the second half. Bryn Athyn had all four of the shots in the two overtime periods as the Chargers could not generate any scoring chances. Lancaster Bible played the final 28 seconds up a man after a Bryn Athyn player received his second yellow card, but there was not enough time left for the Chargers to try and get the game-winning goal.
