The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team opened its 2016 season on Friday night with a 3-0 loss to NCAA Division II Coker College (S.C.). The Cobras won, 25-18, 25-20, 25-10 at Horst Athletic Center.
The first two sets were even affairs that the Cobras pulled out late in the set, while the third set belonged solely to Coker as they won 25-10.Â
Kasey Gentry led the Chargers with seven kills and seven digs, while
Sky Woelkers had four kills against no errors on 10 attempts.
Joshua Rotz had a team-high eight digs and freshman
Garyd Martin had 12 assists in his first collegiate volleyball match.

Caleb Strite each had two blocks to pace the Chargers who fell to 3-10 all-time in season openers in program history
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Wednesday when the Chargers travel to Harrisonburg, Va. to face Eastern Mennonite at 6 p.m.
