The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team saw its two-game winning streak come to an end on Friday in Keuka Park, N.Y. as the Wolves downed the Chargers, 5-2. The loss leaves the Chargers in trouble of as far as the North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs are concerned as Lancaster Bible is now 4-5 in conference play and 6-7 overall. Keuka improved to 7-2-3 overall and 5-1-3 in NEAC play.
How it Happened: Keuka got on the board early as Paulin Kolodja scored just 2:54 into the contest to give the Wolves a 1-0 lead. Less than 13 minutes later, Kolodja assisted on Rachid Blanken's seventh goal of the season as Keuka doubled its lead to 2-0.Â
It appeared as though Lancaster Bible was going to make it out of the 1st half just down two goals, but the Wolves scored with 49 seconds to play in the opening half to gain an almost insurmountable three-goal lead.Â
Lancaster Bible opened the second half needing to get the first goal, but once again Keuka scored in the first 10 minutes of the half, as Claude Tuyishimire made it 4-0 at 54:33.Â
The Chargers got late goals from freshman
Dan Bewersdorff (75') and junior
Spencer Lockard (81'), but Blanken's second goal of the game at 84:53 squashed any hopes of a miraculous comeback.

The Coach Says: "We had a poor opening 20 minutes," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Tom Ardt said. "We weren't aggressive and didn't pay attention to details, which led to goals in our net."
"I thought
Dan Bewersdorff played a complete game today, but the team game had too many ups and downs," Ardt said. "The game actually turned out to be pretty even in the second half, but that doesn't really matter when you give up three goals in the first half."
"We need to approach the rest of our conference games with the mentality that need to win or there will be no postseason and that starts on Saturday at Wells," Ardt said.
