The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team got back into the win column in a big way on Wednesday as the Chargers offense erupted for eight goals in a 8-0 victory over Gallaudet at Charger Field. The win moves the Chargers to 7-4 overall and 6-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while Gallaudet drops to 2-8 overall and 1-7 in conference action.Â
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible controlled play from the opening whistle, but the Chargers couldn't get a goal past Gallaudet goalkeeper Silvya Levesque who played well for much of the game. Junior
Abi Brady got the Chargers on the board at the 22:32 mark as she took a pass from
Alyssa Wesner and scored her fifth goal of the season.
Wesner followed with her own goal just 2:06 later and Brady made it a three-goal advantage 1:49 later with her second goal of the game. Brady collected her first career hat trick just 2:12 after that as she took the ball across the top of the box and scored into the right-hand side of the net.Â
Sophomore
Kiersten Hatch netted her second goal of the season just 49 seconds later as the Chargers scored five goals in 7:56.
The Chargers controlled the play once again in the second half as
Hannah Bernstein,
Caroline Majeski and
Erin Groff added goals for Lancaster Bible.Â

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 8-1 all-time against Gallaudet...Lancaster Bible has allowed just nine goals this season...Brady's hat trick is the first for Lancaster Bible since Oct. 30, 2015 when Wesner had three goals in an 8-0 victory over SUNY Cobleskill.
