The Lancaster Bible Women's Lacrosse team made the long trip down to Lynchburg, Virginia to take on Randolph College. The Chargers played well throughout the game but were unable to come away with a victory as they fell, 17-10, with their record moving to 2-2 on the season.
How it Happened: The Chargers got on the board first as
Alyssa Wesner scored just 2:23 into the game but the Wildcats would score the next one to even the score. Just four minutes after her first goal of the game Wesner put the Chargers back on top, but the Wildcats would go on to score the next two to go up by one goal. The Chargers would even the game up at three all thanks to a goal from
Rebekah Kelley. However, the Wildcats would go on to score the next five goals but the Chargers got back in the scoring column with a goal from
Myranda Kemrer. Though the next three goals would go to the Wildcats the Chargers never gave up and played with a never die attitude. The Chargers would go on to score the last two goals before half thanks to
Hannah Thompson and Kemrer. The Wildcats went into half with an 11-6 lead.
Just like on Thursday the goal before half seemed to spark the Chargers and give them the early momentum after halftime. The Chargers scored the first three goals of the half as
Naomi Otis, Kemrer, and Thompson were the goal scorers. These goals pulled the Chargers within two of tying the game but the Wildcats scored the next two goals to build a little cushion. Kemrer would add another goal to cut the Wildcats lead to three but that would be the last goal for the Chargers as the Wildcats went on to win 17-10.
