The Lancaster Bible Women's Lacrosse team had one more game before they could go enjoy spring break. The Chargers faced of against the Ravens of Rosemont College in Lancaster, PA. The Chargers were victorious as they won 14-4, and even their record at 1-1.
How it Happened:The Chargers once again got off to a fast start and were dictating the play of the game. The fast start was a help as the Chargers kept the ball in the attacking zone. At the 24:26 mark the Chargers got on the board with a goal from
Naomi Otis, that was just the thing the Chargers needed because just nine seconds later the Chargers got another goal from
Alyssa Wesner. The Ravens did not go away though as they scored at the 23:03 mark to pull within one. The Chargers however took that as motivation and rattled off the next four goals to take a 6-1 lead. The goals were scored by
Hannah Thompson with her first collegiate goal,
Alyssa Wesner (2), and
Naomi Otis. The Chargers would get one more goal before half and go into half time up 7-3.
The Chargers picked up right where they left off with Myranda Kemrer scoring at the 20:38 mark. Lancaster Bible would go onto score four more goals in a row just as they did in the first half, and take a commanding 12-3 lead. The Chargers would go on to score two more goals and win by a final score of 14-4.
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had an impressive 47 shots and 36 on goal which is a new program record...They held the advantage in draw control with a 14-5 advantage and a 18-4 advantage on ground balls...Wesner paced the Chargers with 8 goals and 6 draw controls, while Kemrer had one goal and assist, 6 ground balls and 4 draw controls...
Hannah Thompson scored 3 goals for the Chargers...The Ravens were lead by Jennifer South with 3 goals.
