The Lancaster Bible Women's Lacrosse team made their first trip up to New York for the season and they were not in the New York state of mind. The Chargers struggled to get anything going in their first conference game of the season as they lost to SUNY Polytechnic, 25-8, with the loss the Chargers are back to .500 on the season with a record of 4-4, and 0-1 in conference.
How it Happened: The Chargers fell down early as the Wildcats were able to get the first two goals of the game, but the Chargers were able to get one back as Junior
Alyssa Wesner scored with 28:02 left in the half. The Wildcats would get the next goal, but then Wesner answered with another goal to make it three to two. That would be all the closer the Chargers got though as the Wildcats went on to score the next four goals and take a five goal lead. That run was once again stopped by a goal from Wesner but that did not faze the Wildcats as they used another strong offensive run to score the next six goals and take a commanding 13-3 lead. The Chargers continued to battle as they would score the next two goals. Freshman
Hannah Thompson got the first one at the 9:42 mark and Junior
Naomi Otis would score 21 second later. The Wildcats would score four more goals before halftime and the Chargers were able to muster up one more from Senior
Katherine Moran. The Wildcats took a 17-6 lead into the half.
The Wildcats would continue to find the back of the net in the second half as they would score the first six goals in the half to widen their lead. Wesner would score once again for the Chargers as that was her fourth of the game. The Wildcats though went on to score the next two before Moran would get the last goal of the game. The Wildcats went on to win by the final score of 25-8.
